ABOUT
HB Theatre Arts is a new, up and coming Theatre School based in Kingsbury. We strive to support, nurture and encourage all ages and abilities, making learning to dance enjoyable, rewarding and exciting. Whether you want to come to class to get fit and have fun, or if you wish to pursue performing arts as a professional career, HB Theatre Arts has something to offer you.
Our experienced team are friendly, passionate and pride themselves on having a personal touch. For us, each and every student counts and we aim to provide an environment for every student to express themselves through our classes.
Our school provides a great selection of classes at convenient times. In addition to these, we offer our students the opportunity to take part in shows, ISTD dance exams, LAMDA exams in Acting and Musical Theatre, local performances and theatre trips.

TEACHERS
Miss Hayley has been dancing from the age of 5. As a child she performed in a variety of shows and undertook many dance, drama and music exams.
Miss Hayley graduated from Italia Conti Arts Centre with a three-year Performing Arts Diploma. During this time she attained her Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) in Tap and Modern Theatre. In addition to her ISTD training, Miss Hayley also holds a Professional Certificate in Education (PCE) with the University of Greenwich. She has also obtained her registration to enter candidates for exams with LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts).
After graduating, Miss Hayley performed in various productions on stage and screen. Alongside performing, Miss Hayley has continued to teach from the age of 19 at various schools where she gained not only experience in teaching but also choreographing, directing and producing shows. Miss Hayley has always had a passion for teaching and sharing her love of performing arts. She loves teaching all ages and thoroughly enjoys sharing her knowledge in dance, drama and singing to others.
Like all HB Theatre Arts teachers, Miss Hayley holds her full DBS Enhanced Disclosure, Public Liability Insurance, First Aid Certificate and Chaperone License. She also continues to develop her teaching by attending ISTD and LAMDA courses and updates her Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies regularly.
PRINCIPAL/DRAMA/TAP/MODERN/MUSICAL THEATRE TEACHER - MISS HAYLEY
DRAMA/TAP/MUSICAL THEATRE TEACHER - MISS ELLIS
Miss Ellis have been involved with HBTA since the very beginning, she started as a student and quickly transitioned into a voluntary role.
During her time volunteering, she has assisted in classes, shows, and summer school programs, where she discovered her passion for teaching.
Prior to volunteering, Ellis began dancing at the age of three and continued until she was 21. During this time, she participated in numerous dance shows, festivals, performed at the Watford Palace Theatre in the Cinderella pantomime, and even had the opportunity to showcase her talent and perform at Disneyland Paris.
Ellis has achieved her ISTD qualification in Tap and her LAMDA certifications in Drama and Musical Theatre, and she is currently pursuing her ISTD qualification in Modern.

Miss Hayley Is very proud to have Ellis, a student that she has trained and had the pleasure of teaching for several years join the team and become a HBTA teacher.

BALLET TEACHER - MISS HELEN
Miss Helen has been teaching dance, to all ages, for over 33 years. She is qualified to teach Imperial Ballet, Modern Theatre, Jazz, Tap dance & National (Folk) dance.
She holds Licentiate status with the ISTD & currently teaches from Primary Grade up to Adv.2. She is a tutor on a BA (Hons) Degree course & also tutors the ISTD DDE Teacher Training Qualification in Modern Theatre.

Helen is passionate about teaching & hopes to inspire each child to reach their full potential by helping them to understand how their own bodies move, showing them what they can achieve with good technique and encouraging them to be responsible for their own improvement. She is very proud to say that she is still in touch with many of the dancers she has trained over the years, who can be found working as professional dancers in the West End, performing on cruises & in theatre productions around the world, teaching in schools/colleges, and appearing on television.

Helen loves choreography & music of all genres, but particularly 80’s pop, & enjoys exploring ways to blend the two together.
She is very excited to be joining the HBTA Team and is really looking forward to meeting & getting to know everyone!
MODERN/MUSICAL THEATRE TEACHER - MISS SARAN
Miss Saran has been involved with HBTA from the very beginning, taking on the role of a guest teacher at our very first summer school and has continued to work at every summer school since. Miss Saran has just finished performing in the West End production of Tina the Musical, before that she has appeared in Rock of Ages and Beautiful the Carol King Musical.

Miss Saran has been teaching for many years and is currently in the process of completing her DDE Modern ISTD qualification. Miss Hayley Is very proud to have another HBTA staff member join the team that she has trained and had the pleasure of teaching for several years.
After many years of being a guest teacher Miss Saran is incredibly excited to teach at the school full time and can’t wait to get started.
